It was 16th October 1951 when the first Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawabzada Liaquat Ali Khan (1 October 1895 -- 16 October 1951)was assassinated in broad daylight by a assassin, Sa'ad Babrak. during a public meeting at Company Bagh (Company Gardens), Rawalpindi.
